By using RiPi (the app or the website), you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the platform.

  1. What RiPi Is (And Isn’t)

RiPi is a platform that helps you find, start, join, and grow real-world communities based on shared interests — using local coffee shops and similar public venues as safe meeting places.

We’re here to support genuine connection — not just scrolling, swiping or chasing vanity metrics.

We’re not a dating app, a marketplace, or a place to push your products or services.

  1. Who Can Use RiPi

Anyone is welcome to use RiPi however all users must:

  • Be 18 or older

  • Use your real name

  • Only create one account per person

  • Follow the spirit of RiPi: inclusive, respectful, and real-life focused

We may suspend or remove accounts that don’t meet these rules.

  1. User Responsibilities

When you use RiPi, you agree to:

  • Be kind, respectful and inclusive to others

  • Only post content you have the right to share

  • Join or start communities that are safe and legal

  • Respect other people’s boundaries — offline and online

You also agree not to:

  • Harass, abuse or intimidate anyone

  • Promote hate, violence or discrimination of any kind

  • Use RiPi for spam, scams or misleading promotion

  • Create fake accounts or impersonate others

  • Organise illegal or unsafe meetups

If you see something dodgy or against the spirit of RiPi, please report it. We’re here to keep this community safe and thriving.

  1. Your Content & Privacy

You own the content you post — but by posting it on RiPi, you give us permission to display and share it with other users within the app and for promotional purposes.

We respect your privacy. We never sell your personal data.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use your data (and we’ve made that easy to understand too).

  1. Venue Responsibilities

If you’re a coffee shop or public venue on RiPi:

  • You agree to provide a safe, welcoming environment

  • You won’t discriminate or exclude based on someone’s background, beliefs or appearance

  • You’ll keep us informed if your venue changes hours, ownership or closes

  • You agree not to use RiPi to collect user data without consent

Venues are not legally liable for user conduct, but we expect you to play a part in keeping things respectful and safe.

  1. Community Guidelines

This is how we keep RiPi a good place to be:

  • No toxic behaviour

  • No spam or self-promotion (unless it’s clearly relevant and agreed within a group)

  • No exclusion or gatekeeping

  • Meet-ups must be optional, inclusive, and safe

We reserve the right to remove posts, groups or users that break these guidelines. Repeat or serious breaches may result in permanent bans.

  1. Liability & Safety

We work hard to make RiPi a safe and positive place — but we can’t control everything.

So, to be clear:

  • We’re not liable for what happens online, in app or at in-person meet ups

  • We’re not responsible for the actions or content of our users

  • We don’t guarantee that you’ll meet people, make friends, or grow a community — though we really hope you do

Always use your judgement. Stay safe, meet in public places, and trust your instincts.

  1. Changes to These Terms

We might update these terms from time to time. If we make big changes, we’ll let you know clearly within the app or via email.

By continuing to use RiPi after an update, you accept the new version.

  1. Getting in Touch

Got a question? Feedback? Something bothering you?

We’re human. You can email us at [Insert email address] and we’ll do our best to help.

Thanks for being part of RiPi ❤️

Let’s build something real — together.
